We rolled into Deer Lodge today with strong cross winds for most
of the trip. The park was alittle torn up from recent tree removal
Was disappointed to find the prison & auto museum closed until Wed.
Will go back then. From there we stopped at the Grant-Kohrs ranch
built in 1864 and still working, would of been more interesting but
couldn't access all the building because of fire suspression equipment
being installed.

The 6th day & dry
Seemed like a goooood day to take a drive. Left Wallace and headed for Missoula,
crawled up and over look out pass and coasted into Missoula almost. The rivers are
running high from the recent rains & snow melt, am a bit worried about getting to
some of the ghost towns around Anconda but thats another day.
Our campground was easy to find and centrally located and just because they say
big rig friendly isn't always true.
First stop I spotted a Cost co 2 blocks from camp, and those polish dogs were calling
me , sure tasted good { Jerry K }next stop smoke jumpers museum, from there we
headed to the Museum of mountain flight {not open yet}---- OK off to Ft.
Missoula, very interesting 20 minute film about the area and its part in WW2
training and holding prisoners of war and to top of the visit was a huge old
equipment museum, log train, old saw mill, steam tractors, lookout tower and even
one of the first back hoes produced

Day 5 and no rain
Today we had several things we wanted to see so we had to get moving,.first
on the list was the wallace mining & trolley tour. The mine tour was very interesting
our guide was a retired miner with lots of stories.Next we went toward Kellogg
to check the old Crystal gold mine out ,but couldn't get in.From there we went
to Kellogg and rode the Silver Mtn gondola said to be the worlds longest
gondola ride that takes you up to 6198 ft and dumps you out.Met a couple that
his wife was from Castle Rock, small world. We backed tracked alittle more
to look at the Cataldo Mission sorta out by itself and was built about 1850.
Heading home we decided to drive up the valley from where we were camped
looking for a spot to do some panning but found a old cemerty dating back to
to the 1850's with some interesting head stones

day 4 and no wind
Was great to head out this morning with no wind and rain but, a dirty bus & tow car come on. Rolled
right down 90 thru Spokane, lite traffic up and over a few high spots in the road and we were in Wallace
Idaho. Found our camping spot with great ease but spent to much time B Sn the camp hoist , which made
us about 10 minutes late for the last mine tour of the day I guess thats a good thing about being retired there
is always tomorow, till you use them all up!! so we went to the mining museum and found out what kind of
hell the town has been thru since 1884 with fires ,floods and union disputes and still one of the top silver
producers.
Tomorow we will try the mining tour again, visit Kellogg for a gold mine tour, and ride the longest gondola
in the world, was on the 2nd longest in New Mexico

Off again, managed to find our way across the Wenatchee river and headed up the valley on US 2

letting the other woman stretch her legs when this car came out of nowhere YEP! Mr do right was
on my rear bumper, ah shit but he blew on by, must have been late for doughnuts, lucky me.
Did the speed limit the rest of the way till we found it. THE CASINO. Looking down on the big city
of Spokane. This is where we part ways she goes inside and I stay in the confinds of the bus.
Just had to throw this in, their still are barn finds out there 1952 Chevy hardtop, 56000 miles

The other woman on the move again day 1
The roads are calling our names so we have kicked out the spiders, washed the windows and put
in a few gallons of fuel, no big lumps on the tires that I can see with a launch date of the 24th we will
lift anchor and try to kill a few bugs .
With cloudy skies and a sea mist we left town run up to the Rib Eye for breakfast, not like it use to be
with the new owners. From there we run I-5 up to Rochester and headed East looking for a place called
North West Trek, fun place even for adults, lots of critters roaming in their habitat.
On to our next stop The Muckleshoot casino, did good getting there. but that where things went South,
got all setup dish out even found the damn SAT. Decided we would get a bite to eat in the casino, WRONG
no casino, just a bingo hall now. The new casino is down the street, well pickup my shit and down the street
we go to the new casino, this is more like it, lots of cars and limited parking, after logging a few miles trying
to find a spot to squeeze into,we landed, then I couldn't find the SAT, it seemed to be getting warmer out
but the weather was cool
What a person does to have a happy Co-Pilot but she is 200 green backs ahead
