Day 10 --The Other Woman On The Move

Well
 Yesterday we had enough time to take a drive and check
out all the places to camp and spotted this little place we
both liked over looking the valley so we made a crazy
offer on the place it needs a bit of work but this sunny
weather sure is nice.
The drive from Quartzsite to Yuma had strong side winds
seen a couple freight trailers that looked close to going on
over.After a few calls we got hooked up with a RV site
locator agent and got a spot on the east end of Yuma in
the Foot Hills area, back in and 30 amp Oh Well !!!!!
We will be here for a day or so
The 64 Imp below they only wanted 54,ooo -409-Auto
but the Cad El Camino was only 19'000

Day 9 - The Other Woman On The Move

Yesterday we had a problem with the safety break away brake
system on the tow car but was able to get the parts to repair
it in Indio. We got a late start this morning with the repair but
rolled into Quartsite late this afternoon and found a spot in the
long term parking with the rest of the NUTS out here in this
windy, dusty place just to save a few bucks.
Tomorrow we will head for Yuma, found out the Elks have sold
the RV parking area, so will have to find a spot in that zoo or
just bypass it and head for Phonix .

Day 8 - The Other Woman On The Move

Well
 The day started out good, no rain,sun shine, a quite little
county park every thing started and we are off at a good
time for us.I should have known there was trouble abrew
as we rounded a corner the rear wheels went thru a mud
puddle and I could see the wheel slide on the pavement,
stopped and did a double check every thing was where it
should be for towing.We headed out again checked out
of the park and on down road a mile or so things seem OK
The next corner smoke off the tow car brakes, the breakaway
brake on the tow car was partially applied for some unknown
reason.That will give me something to sleep on and hope to
fix before we leave Indio in the morning.

Day 7- The Other Woman On The Move

Miles driven today 0, We spent the day with Bruce & Peggy
a great couple we met last year, got a great tour of the redlands
area, some neat old houses and very high end new houses too.
Later we had dinner and met another RVing, hot rodding
engine building couple, just a good fun day and a break from
driving and enjoying the great weather, Oh by the way is it
still raining there ??????

Day 6-- The Other Woman On The Move

Today we only run 225 miles but they were not boring.These
Calif people drive as if they are on a death trip.Had a guy in
some little sport car as we were passing a exit,decided he wanted
that exit instead of slowing down and slipping in behind, he
speeded up passing on the left, missed the front of the bus by
5,ft broad side, off the road air born,over the bank still on
his wheels on the lower road.On that part of 210 there were
3 wrecks almost 4 was glad to get Yacaipa for the night and
hook up with a couple we meet last year on our trips

Day 5--- The Other Woman On The Move

Got up this morning washed the car and bus at the elks
lodge.Topped of on fuel and headed S. The sun is out
and short sleeve weather, is it still raining there ??ha ha
We run about 435 miles today passed several casino's
no problem, sure glad I got rid of that magnet. So we
ended up in the big city of Wasco at the Elks lodge.

Day--4--The Other Woman On The Move

Well
 Last night while my Co-Pilot was sleeping I found that magnet
and got rid of it.Leaving 7 Feather Casino We topped off on fuel
so we shouldn't have to buy any Calif ridiculous high priced fuel.
 With the SUN behind us and BLUE sky I made it past 2 casino's
without a peep from my Co-Pilot and rolled into the Red Bluff Elks
just in time for happy hour and our free beer. We have never been
at  this Elks before but its easy on and off  freeway and lots of
room.

Day 3--- The other Woman On The Move

Today we left Newport Elks with sunny skies and short sleave
weather sure felt great.Headed out on US20 E wanted to see
that 300 million failed road improvement project that they now
have to remove 4 new bridges just to build 4 more better ones.
Lots of high water, at one point it was about 2ft short of going
across 20. As we got closer to I-5 it was back to the same old
shit were trying to get rid of RAIN !!!! As we got closer to 7
Feathers Casino my Co-Pilot was sound asleep and I thought
I could slip on by but that magnet on her back side must have
a alarm because she woke up and wondered wye I wasn't
slowing down for the exit BUSTED

Day 2 --- The other woman 0n the move

Well
 Left Tillamook pouring buckets and the bus drove
like a high end rig again, after my tire problem on
the way down.We made it as far as Lincoln city
before the magnet strapped to my Co-pilots backside
pulled us right into that casino only to buy the Indians
a couple tires but they did have a good lunch. We did
manage to make it to the Newport Elks and get a spot
only to find they had some of those 1 armed bandit
machines that pulled her right in !!!!!

Day 1 -- The Other Woman On the Move

 Our first day on the road,got out of town pretty much on
time, if that matters !!!! The drive to Tillamook was a mix of
rain, hail snow and a wobble in the frontend. This thing has
always drove like one of those hi end cars nice and smooth !!!!
Found a Mr Schwab in Tillamook to check things out found
left front tire with a strange concave on it . For lack of words
to explain a[Sink Hole] and of coarse it was off warranty. but
maybe my Co-Pilot will make it up at the Casino OR buy some
tires for the Indians
