The last time we were in Denver was about 1989 with the
street rod, the scenery has changed but the drivers haven't
they drive fast and don't use that little lever on the steering
column but they aren't rude.
I have always wanted to see that old steam locomotive the
Big Boy, out of 200 there is only 6 left and one of them is
in the Forney museum and we are going there today !!!
Oh yes, that is one monster and it had to shake the ground
when they put the power to the 16 drive wheels. An old man
looking at the engine that worked for the R/R said you could
hear them starting off a mile away. The whole museum had
a good mix of stuff.
From there we went to Hammonds candy factory for their
tour, now I just threw this in to keep peace in the bus, but it
was interesting, the business was started in 1920 and still uses
most of the original equipment and by hand even the
wrapping.
For lunch we thought we would help old Toby Keith out and
try out his nice little bar.
Our last stop was the Colorado R/R museum, alot of the good
old stuff , even a round table
