Well so far I haven't heard the frog word this morning so my Co-pilot must be ok.
Today we are off to Yellowstone lake and the Grand Canyon, both the lower and
upper falls had good view points. The 1975 earthquake did serious damage to the
view points and canyon walls.
From there off to the lake which was still frozen over in spots but much larger than
I had expected at 20 miles long and 14 miles wide and 410ft deep.Being close to the
East entrance we drove up and over Sylvan pass at 8500ft some great scenery, on our
way back to base camp and not seeing any bears yet we headed to Lamar which is
the Northeast entrance and the valley is bear area, on the way we found a petrified
Redwood tree, 50ft tall still standing, there was 3 but vandals got 2 now that last one is
fenced, looking around all I see is fir and cedar[OK years ago ] and NO bears.
