Last nite we stayed in Sargent NB. Nice little city park & quite except at 10:00 pm & 7:00 am when
they blow their air raid siren.
So today I had to skip several scheduled stops to be sure I get a spot at the Bill Smith Museum
or will have to wait til next week.
I think we logged about 275 miles today with good roads but still high winds & alittle dust. Having
time to let the mind wonder alittle, we got to wondering why 95% of the truck drivers would wave
in North Dakota & Nebraska when passing but hardly any in South Dakota. After a debate, we
concluded they won't let go of the wheel to wave because of the bad roads.
Finding our campground in Lincoln turned into a real task. The GPS was taking us where we
shouldn't be(south vs north). The first double circle I have ever seen straight ahead was made more for
Volkswagons than a 40' bus & tow car. Well, now I have lots of people waving and it's not
friendly. Getting out of there without bent sheet metal, I felt very lucky. Directions from the camp
host weren't any better than the GPS. So heading to another camp seemed like the safest.
While trying to leave the area, my co-pilot, flustered as she was, spotted our target. Got in a
space only to find no power, so we had to move.
And it is true....you do see something new and surprising every day....check picture!
Good job keeping up on this dad!
